A crowdfunding campaign is underway
We don't know how this year has been for you, but 2025 was quite the year for us. And 2026 is looking to be just as exciting.
For example, 2025 was the first year that the two of us didn't work full-time together for 9 years. That has taken some getting used to. And we're not sure we have fully accepted it yet.
We shut down our agency in 2024, decided to stop pursuing an investment to rethink Post Growth Guide by writing a book, and took on other part-time and consultancy jobs to pay the bills, while we continued to spend 1-2 days a week on the Guide.
We are building it into a small, impactful business that, at some point, can carry the cost of full-time salaries.
Bootstrapping is tough. The independence that comes with it is fantastic and rewarding. But my goodness, it's tough to be this patient. The funny thing is that, with our 1-2 days a week, we have never had a greater impact. We never got anywhere close to influencing people's behaviour in business, in terms of both reach and depth, in our agency, even though we were five people working full-time, and the two of us at some point worked 55-60 hours.
It's this simple: Working on the right thing, even just a little bit, is much better than working a lot on the wrong thing. Even if the wrong thing appears much more glamorous on the outside (we don't have our beautiful office anymore; we don't have big, famous clients; we don't have employees; we only have each other, the Guide, and you, our readers and customers).
What's up for 2026: Deciding the future of the company
In 2025, we bet big on rethinking Post Growth Guide and decided to use a book-writing process to do so. That was what turned into the book "Smådriftsfordele" / "Economies of Small" which was published in Danish in October, and has been incredibly well received (still working on finding an international publisher to translate and sell it internationally).
Now, we are bringing this knowledge into our learning platform. And, we need your help to do it.
That's why, in January, we will launch a self-organized crowdfunding campaign, which will determine the future of this company.
The crowdfunding campaign will revolve around our new offering, which teaches how to define a company's edge and leverage the economies of small to do the great things that large, limitless companies can't. Based on the book, and everything that went into writing it, 6 years of research, analyzing 200+ companies, reading more scientific articles than we can count, and experimenting in both our agency and in Post Growth Guide.
We call it: The Edge Masterclass.
It will consist of 12-15 modules, 4-6 concrete decision-making tools, 10-20 cases, and, most importantly, an overarching model and a process.
In terms of format, we can give you an idea with some references. Think along the lines of:
- IDEO's design thinking (it has a clear process)
- Strategyzer's Business Model Canvas (it has frameworks that create clarity),
- Donella Meadows' leverage points (it helps you see your business as a system), and
- David and Clare Hieatt's DO lectures (it involves community, and challenging yourself to apply the knowledge in real life).
It will be available both on-demand and in online cohorts (and let's see, maybe in physical cohorts as well. To be continued).
We say we need your help because we need your trust to pay in advance, so we can allocate sufficient time to finish it. We will, as per crowdfunding protocol, reward those of you who show us the trust of paying early. And we will give you early access as the modules become available. Some of it is ready now (The Edge Playbook and Toolkit). And more will be ready already at the crowdfunding launch.
We say it will determine the future of this company, because in 2026, we have to figure out how to prioritize our time.
We have:
- the learning platform with the newsletter, courses, and books
- public talks (and we are fortunately receiving more and more bookings in DK after our book launch)
- and we are starting to get inquiries for consulting work within the Post Growth Guide realm.
The result of the crowdfunding will determine:
- How much of our time should we allocate to the learning platform
- How much time can we spend in Post Growth Guide (e.g. when can one of us go full-time, and imagine what we could do with one full-time, compared to what we can do with two people working 1 day a week!)
The learning platform will continue in one way or another. The question is whether we should spend more time on it or spend our time better elsewhere.
We hope it's the first one, because we love this educational format. And, we hope to have it confirmed that you do too.
